Last year was unprecedented on many fronts, but that did not slow down the team at Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. In fact, they closed out 2020 with improved product designs, several newly awarded and pending patents, and honors from the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA).

New Solid Surface Batter’s Eye Merges Durability and Aesthetic

For coaches and ballpark managers across the country, Sportsfield Specialties Inc.’s new Solid Surface Batter’s Eye could not have come sooner. In fact, Kevin DeVantier, Director of Sales for Sportsfield’s direct division, said during his tenure, he has had conversations with numerous clients frustrated by material failures from traditional windscreen-style batter’s eyes.

Sportsfield Outfits Top Track & Field Facilities

In December 2019, both Verde Design of Santa Clara, CA and GeoSurfaces Southeast DBA Medallion Athletics of Mooresville, NC were honored with ASBA’s Outstanding Track and Field Facility Award – Both also sourced field equipment from Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. for their projects at Tokay High School and University of Alabama-Birmingham, respectively.

 Sportsfield's Equipment Innovations Receive Industry Accolades

On December 8, Sportsfield was recognized for their contributions to the advancement of athletic equipment at the American Sports Builders Association’s (ASBA) Technical Meeting Awards Ceremony in Orlando, Florida. The winning designs included the company’s new Tension Netting System with Integrated Wall Pad Backstop (fields division) and their new Retractable Long / Triple Jump Sand Pit Cover (track division).

Continued Growth on the Horizon as Sportsfield Expands NY Facility

Sportsfield Specialties, Inc. announces the sixth expansion since it’s incorporation in 1998 at their Delhi, NY corporate headquarters. The $8M construction project, which is currently underway and slated for completion in early 2020, will add a 60,000 square foot manufacturing plant to Sportsfield's campus.
