Sportsfield Specialties is seeking a Sewer for our Mocksville location to sew and/or join materials together to optimize efficiency in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:
- Maintain clean work environment and ensure safety is priority in all tasks.
- Proficiently operate sitting sewing machine.
- Use of tape measure to produce accurate measurements.
- Read and understand production work orders, shop drawings and customers’ orders.
- Always maximize material utilization.
- Perform in process quality audits, following first unit approval process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Skills:
- Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Team oriented and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Experience/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years sewing experience
