Painter (1st Shift)

Sportsfield Specialties is seeking a hands-on Production Painter (1st Shift) for our Delhi, NY location who can work independently and/or with others as a production team member with good analytical skills. Candidate must be reliable and flexible with schedule during summer months.

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:

  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain and operate powder coat equipment and spray booth as needed.
  • Sand, polish, wash, dry, and apply powder coat to products specifications.
  • Operate ovens and measure/monitor temperatures per product specifications.
  • Maintain proper respirator care/operation.
  • Weigh paint for accurate costing.
  • Become efficient with painting techniques to meet quality and efficiency needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Skills:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy environment, manage your time and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to use and operate power tools, ladders, and warehouse equipment safely.

Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with electric; hydraulics; pneumatics and controls.

Starting pay: $18/hour, the starting pay indicated represents the minimum pay for the position. The starting pay may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
