Sportsfield Specialties is proud to announce a major milestone in the growth of padel across America: the successful manufacturing and installation of 100 padel courts nationwide.

This milestone marks a significant achievement for the company and reflects the increasing demand for padel courts across the country. Since entering the market in 2023 as the first Made in America padel court manufacturer, Sportsfield has witnessed padel evolve from an emerging sport with limited awareness in the United States into a rapidly growing movement within the racquet sports industry.

“Just a few years ago, many people in the United States had never heard of padel,” said Sam Markle, Courts National Sales Manager at Sportsfield Specialties. “Today, we’re seeing interest from club operators, real estate developers, and private homeowners across the country. Reaching 100 court installations is a strong indication of the momentum the sport has built and the opportunities that still lie ahead.”

The 100 courts installed by Sportsfield also reflect the variety of organizations now investing in padel. Projects have ranged from private residences and sports facilities to racquet clubs, country clubs, resorts, and new ground-up developments, highlighting the sport’s appeal among a range of audiences.

Part of that appeal comes from padel’s ability to attract both recreational and competitive players. Padel is known for its social aspect as well as its accessibility to new players and ability to support high-level competition. As a result, facilities are incorporating padel courts into health, wellness, and additional racquet sports offerings.

Sportsfield entered the market after recognizing the potential for padel’s growth in the United States and identifying a need for U.S. based manufacturing and installation. Headquartered in Delhi, New York, the company became the first U.S. based manufacturer of padel courts, leveraging their decades of experience in sports construction and engineering.

Unlike many court systems developed for international markets, Sportsfield’s courts are engineered to meet U.S. wind load requirements and are supported with engineering documentation that will help clients navigate local permitting and approval processes. The company has also built a dedicated team focused exclusively on padel, which includes engineering, project management, installation, and customer support personnel.

Looking ahead, Sportsfield expects continued growth as awareness of padel expands and more facilities invest in bringing the sport to their members and communities.

“What’s been most exciting is seeing how quickly the market has evolved,” Markle said. “The conversations we’re having today are very different from the ones we were having just a year ago. More facility owners understand the opportunity, and we’re seeing interest from a wider range of developers every year. We believe we’re still in the early stages of padel’s growth in the United States. We’re excited to continue supporting that growth and helping facilities bring the sport to new communities.”
