Description

Pole vault planting box safety collars by Sportsfield Specialties are designed to reduce that risk by adding protective padding around the edges of the box, creating a safer transition between the runway and the planting area. By covering exposed hard surfaces, these collars help minimize the chance of injury during takeoff and landing.

Constructed with high-density foam and fully encased in durable outdoor vinyl, the collar is built to absorb impact while maintaining a clean, professional appearance. The design surrounds the perimeter of the planting box without interfering with pole placement, allowing athletes to perform with confidence while maintaining proper technique.

Required by NFHS rules and compliant with NCAA and ASTM standards, safety collars are a critical component of modern pole vault facilities. They are commonly installed at high school, collegiate, and professional venues where athlete safety and regulatory compliance are top priorities.

For a complete pole vault system, planting box safety collars can be used alongside pole vault planting box cover plugs to improve safety and maintenance when the event is not in use. While the safety collar protects athletes during vaulting, cover plugs create a flush surface over the planting box between sessions, helping reduce trip hazards and prevent debris from collecting inside the box.

By combining active safety protection with day-to-day runway management, facilities can create a safer, cleaner, and more versatile pole vault environment.
