Synthetic Turf Infill Collection Containment Systems

A synthetic turf infill collection containment system is a specialized tray system installed at synthetic turf field entry and exit points to capture migrating infill material as people and equipment leave the playing surface. This system helps collect loose rubber or sand infill before it spreads outside the field area.

Synthetic turf fields can experience infill migration and pellet flyout, especially at gates and access points. A synthetic turf infill collection containment system captures that loose material and keeps it contained so it can be removed and returned to the field.

Sportsfield offers two versions of synthetic turf infill collection containment systems. A pedestrian system designed for player entry and exit points and an equipment system designed for maintenance equipment and vehicles entering or leaving the field.

The pedestrian system uses galvanized steel grates and nylon brush assemblies that remove infill from players’ cleats as they walk across the system. The infill is captured in the containment tray below the surface.

The equipment system includes heavy duty galvanized steel grates rated for vehicular traffic, allowing maintenance equipment or emergency vehicles to drive over the system while still capturing migrating infill.

The infill that collects in the trays can be removed using a vacuum or other maintenance equipment so it can be reused or properly disposed of.

The containment system features an open bottom design for drainage, which allows water to pass through while still collecting infill particles.

The system includes removable vinyl mesh filters and aluminum filter clamping panels that help capture infill material while allowing water and debris to pass through.

The system includes removable and replaceable filters and access components, allowing maintenance crews to easily clean or replace parts when necessary.

These systems are typically installed at synthetic turf field gates, access paths, and equipment entry points where infill migration is most likely to occur.
